SmellSoGood
I am sorry, but I have to be a big baby beggar and help is needed from some experts. This is my first normally aspirated high horsepower car and I'm in the mod mood. With my previously owned twin-turbo cars, I really had no problems selecting chips, suspension, MAF and turbo upgrades, piping, etc. However, I am lost with this 10' GT500. Objective #1 is to maintain the stock SC, but to increase HP and Torque using pulley (2.6" - 2.65"??), tensioner if needed, and tune. I would prefer to do the install myself, which I know is possible using those special pullers (Metco? or VMP) and be able to remove the upgraded pulley and tune before any service visit with Ford. What do you prefer or use and could not be happier with? On the same subject, is a CAI upgrade needed or the 2010 MUSTANG SVT RESONATOR ELIMINATOR KIT a great option? Please consider this. The second objective is to lower the car and equally important is to reduce or eliminate as much wheel hop as possible. I am simple and do not need a Griggs setup, so is the Ford M-FR3-MSVT FRPP Handling Pack a no brainer? The bigger question is what parts will do me right to reduce wheel hop substantially, if not entirely? Can someone with a little time provide great options or what they call in the computer world a "build"? For some reason I keep getting lost with these answers as I peruse vendor sites and forum threads. Thanks in advance, Tom
sierramike
+1 Tom. I with you. I have @ 200 miles on mine and it's obvious that dealing with the heat and wheel hop are top priority. I did purchase the FRPP Resonator Eliminator Kit. It's not the best looking, but for $55 bucks, its hard to beat.
tdusseau
Tom First remember even though this car is not a Turbo car it is not a "normally aspirated " or NA motor as some would say. It is force inducted just like your old turbo cars only via a belt driven super charger. If you are not willing to upgrade the SC then the pulley swap is the single best bolt on power builder. Who makes the pulley is really just personal preference, it is the tune that really matters i.m.o. I personally would not waste my money on a CAI kit. Most will do it for looks to delete the big ford baffle, but I am going to spend my money elsewhere. Todd
justindewoody
I recommend that you do everything you see in my signature...first, start with the first thing on the list, the Whipple, then work your way through it as time and money permits! You will be VERY pleased with the results...
Rod_Michel
Took a good look at the Aeroforce Interceptor Gauges, these are bad ass and an answer to my problem of installing a shift light, thanks! They can port match the SC/plenum/TB for impressive gains. VMP's upper is simple and looks stock, so the dealer wont know the diff. Even with the aux idler. The FRPP Handling Package is a good system for what you want. Bear in mind, getting adj caster/camber plates(J&M) are highly recommend to better dial in alignment after lowering. J&M's adj UCA, along with LCA's or Steeda's LCA's will help with wheel hop. But there are many other options. I use these and have had zero issues in two years. Establish a good relationship with your service folks at the dealer. Most dont care about the mods to service, yet some are anal.

Once I nail the traction, then will come some performance upgrades, otherwise it makes zero sense to go with power if the car does not sit on the road. I'll start with suspension first (LCA adj., UCA, PH, and 1.5" drop) and then move to the engine. You have a good template to go by, but an upgraded SC to me is on the tail end of a long list of other personal and family priorities. I love the Goodies you have on. Awesome sneaker and looks great in your sig.

I'm by far an expert, but I would first see what FRPP packages are available and what the tuners bring to the table.
