This cap finishes off all the necessay covers in the engine compartment. It matches the rest of the KR specific caps. Robert Lane found approximately 20 of the caps and they were quickly snatched up as you can imagine. He has placed another order and has closed the previous thread on this subject until the second batch arrives, which will be posted on the KR site. Everyone that wanted one on the previous thread was told that they would be able to purchase it as long as their KR is in the registry.

The picture is correct. Also have to take the rubber bladder form the OEM plastic cap and place in to the new cap. Looks just like mine. Installed last weekend.

Now need to change the reserviors to aluminium and get rid of the white plastic on all 3 reservoirs.

While the white plastic doesn't look cool, it doesn't corrode, and lets you view contents easily. I've seen too many corroded aluminum reservoirs on old English cars.

I think a polished stainless one with a sight glass would be interesting...

oldlugs good point on the corrosion part. I guess the rad and S/C reservoir are ok to be alum but the MC fluid is much more corrosive. I have ordered the 3 tanks from Shelby. I assumed one was for the M/C fluid, but maybe not.

No, you'll get a Radiator overflow tank, a Intercooler reserviour tank and a Power Steering tank.

2010KonaBlue GT and oldlugs you were correct. The third tank from Shelby was for the power steering fluid. All have been installed now. I have posted some pics in my gallery as well as the KR photo thread.

Now need to find away to change the colour of the brake fluid tank to black.

MOROSO makes an aluminum cover for the plastic master cylinder that is really a nice piece. Maybe they offer it in black or you could modify it. It has been more than a couple of weeks since Robert's last post on the caps. According to Tim at the Shelby Store people are calling constantly on these everyday. Any word yet Robert? :lurk:
