My 2010 GT500 18" OEM Convertible Wheels arrived today. :happy feet: These came brand new in the box. The Ebay seller gave the choice of Cobra or SVT center caps. I went with the Cobra. Very nice wheels. I find it interesting that Ford outsources these wheels from China. :headscratch:

if these wheels are in fact oem (i have not seen a vert yet) they look nothing like my 19's

Yeah, the 2010 GT500 vert wheels are a little different than the 2010 GT500 coupe wheels. The coupe wheels are forged and made in Taiwan. The Verts are cast and made in China.

Well, if those are really OEM 2010 vert wheels, then the set I bought from AM for under $600 are damned good copies. They look identical, except for the center cap.

One of my American Muscle repro 2010 18" wheels

Here they are on my car (dirty car and iPhone pic, sorry).

Word of advice: OEM or repro, when you have them mounted and balanced, check the balancing weights they'll be using first. The silver/gray weights the shop used to balance my wheels stood out like a sore thumb on that gloss black wheel. I had to mask and paint the weights on each wheel.

FWIW, the 2010 vert wheels I've seen pics of look just like the coupe wheels pictured in iamlightning03's post, only they're 18" instead of 19", and they sell for ~ $390 each.

I thought they were a good deal too. He ships fast too, I ordered on Tuesday I had them on Thursday. Of course I'm close to MI, so not very far to travel. They are the real deal. They have the Ford logo cast on the back side of the wheels along with the part # AR3V-1007-AA. Did you go with the SVT or Cobra center caps? The Cobra center caps are at least $25 ea if you buy them separately.

You're right they repoped them pretty close. The Ford 2010 GT500 Convertibe wheel is on the left. They are probably from the same China vendor except one has the Ford logo and part#. :hysterical: I guess that justifies the extra cost. :rant2:

Thanks for the tip on the weights. You can't tell from the pic but my wheels are charcoal color vs the gloss black on the painted surfaces.

Yeah, they look gray in the ebay pics, but looked black in your in-box pic. My bad. Congrats on a great deal, that's the cheapest I've seen them anywhere. I waited months for the OEM price to drop before giving up and buying the repro wheels. They're good wheels, I just don't like the black. I'm going to have to paint them.
