29bill
Does look pretty sinster so what's the story, are they plastic covers, spray on, film? I first tried the whole tinting way, which turned out looking like crap......Bubbles and just looked cheap. I was referred to a body shop. I removed the lights and had them paint the lights with a smoke/black color and then clear coat over. I have to say the picture doent''t do it justice. In person the lights look painted like the car. The lights are still very visible. Really good job by the shop. Cost was $125.00. Well worth the look.
GOTVENOMGT500
Florida cops must be pretty nice, maybe here in Virginia you'd make it a few blocks before the cops would pull you over grilling you about the tail lights. Then during state inspection they'd fail ya. Hell when I was still in high school I got a ticket for a tinted license plate cover, I asked to cop if I could take it off right then and there he said no. What an ass
jmn444
I like it and it looks really cool... just be careful where you park at night, they might shine thru good, but the reflective properties are probably shot now... hate to see that beautiful car rear ended or something from someone not noticing it curb side... jsvtcobra
Looks real good. They most likely used VHT, the clear makes all the difference. Some night pics would be cool. Over all a great appearance mod, good job. Might have to world on the third brake light. The first time you tried it did you try tint, or did you try a vinyl overlays???? The first time I had a tint guy put some vinyl on the lights. I was impressed with the appearence from a distance but when you approached the vehicle the vinyl looked dull and you could notice bubbles around the recessed edgeds. After they were painted, they looked amazing. The clear coat makes them pop! Nothing dull. The whole painted tail lights idea does stay in your head when your around cops, but I try and stay behind them or really far in front them. For the appearence, well worth the risk. imo. SGT0128
For the Texas owners, just be aware that they are illegal for street use and will get you put on the curb. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/Misc/faq/lens.htm#blackouts
