BadAssPerformance
#475 is/was Steve Kalmes beautiful car... I thought it was on dsplay at the Shelby Meseum? Link here Lot Number: 55 Auction: PALM BEACH 2010 Sale Price: Year: 1988 Make: DODGE Model: SHADOW SHELBY CSX-T Style: COUPE Exterior Color: WHITE Interior Color: BLUE Cylinders: 4 Engine Size: 2.2 LITER Transmission: Summary: Details: Carroll Shelby's good friend, Lee Iacocca, asked him to inject some performance excitement into Chrysler Corporation when the company was struggling during the 1980s. Shelby responded with a series of "pocket rocket" front wheel drive cars that started a trend that continues today. The Shelby team hot rodded various Chrysler "K Car" models with more horsepower, better handling and cosmetic changes. These cars included the GLHS, Daytona, Charger and Shadow based CSX. In 1966, Shelby created a special line of Shelby Mustangs for Hertz. Shelby repeated this in 1988 with the creation of the CSX-T using the "Shadow" body style for the Thrifty Car Rental. The CSX-T was only sold to Thrifty, and 1,001 were produced. The CSX-T used a non-intercooled 2.2L Turbo I engine was used. Upgrades included four-wheel disc brakes, Goodyear VR/50 Gatorback tires on 15x6.5 Shelby wheels, special body trim, white paint with silver and blue trim. The brake proportioning valve and master cylinder were also modified, special swaybars added and the pedals provided heel/toe driving capability. The interior featured a Shelby leather steering wheel and boost gauge; a cassette player was standard. Each car had a numbered plaque on the dash and this is number 475. The car was also displayed for a period at the Shelby museum in Las Vegas.
shelbymotorsports
JT Shelby CSX-T #475 is owned by Shelby American. It will be for sale this weekend at the Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson auction along with some other cars from the Shelby American Museum Collection. This Thrifty Rental car should be a great buy for someone. The odds of Carroll ever selling any of his #001 Dodge cars is about zero so the opportunity to purchase a Turbo Dodge with some current Shelby American history is something for every Dodge enthusiast to consider. The Shelby American Registry entry for CSX-T #475 will include its SAI Museum time and its sale at the April 2010 B-J auction. Steve

So was this the only CSX-T in the collection? It would be a shame if they sold the only one
