01mingreyvert
Does anyone know if you can put a 2010 clutch and flywheel in a 2008? I seen that Jared from Lethal Performance said the 2010 clutch was thicker.

He said the customer was very pleased and the take-off shudder was gone. You just have to replace the related clutch parts with 2010 and you're good to go. Snaky
Another guy here in Europe did it as well. Without any problems.
Red Snake
Another yes you can, and it's what I'd install if I was doing one now for my car. You have to install the full package of 2010 clutch, flywheel and CSC.

I seen that Jared from Lethal Performance said the 2010 clutch was thicker. For clarity, the clutch is not thicker, it's bigger in diameter and has more friction materal on it's surface as a result of being bigger. That's because FoMoCo went back to using all organic friction materal as opposed to ceramic impregnated organic friction materal.
KR158
So is the 2010 better then the 2009 from the tsb?
ingram4868
So is the 2010 better then the 2009 from the tsb? Clamping force is greater with the ceramic but I have not read of any 2010 failures. I was thinking of changing out to an aftermarket "Spec clutch and flywheel" but member chuckstang doesn't seem to care for it that much.
chuckstang
I have driven the factory clutch, factory post tsb clutch, spec SS clutch and 2010 clutch. The best for driveability is the the 2010. BUT The spec I have now is much better for performane, it is lighter, much lighter, and stronger than all of them, downside is, more noise transmitted and more pedal effort with chatter like the factory clutch. But hte 2010 costs the most so the Spec was it for me. Too soon to tell if I could do it again would I have paid more for the 2010 or go the aftermarket route like I did. My car as of 3/15/2010 is 100% a street car so keep that in mind, that matters as there is never one clutch that is best for all aplications.
