justindewoody
Guys, the body shop guy told me that when you upgrade the regular halogen headlights (like on my car) to the HID headlights (I'm upgrading to these), the high beams will not work. Has anyone heard of this? Can anyone confirm this?
EL SHELBY
If it is a OE parts swap, including the ballast for the HD then yes the highbeams should work if installed correctly. There are aftermarket kits where an HD bulb is swapped and the highbeams will not work. The usual work-around for the aftermarket kits is a mechanism that actaully adjust the angle of the bulb. I assume the highbeams for the OE HD headlight works in the same manner and is the only way the OE HD headlights are manufactured.
