SVT NAJA
I grew up as an Air Force brat and salute all veterans and active members of our armed forces for your service and sacrifices. I also want to honor my deceased father who retired as an O-6. He started his career with the Army Air Corps and served in Europe during WWll flying P-38's. He had 2 aircraft shot out from underneath him (hence Peg lll below shown with his crew chief) in aerial and ground support missions (flew 6 sorties on D-day). During his Reserve years, he had the privilege of working with some of our future astronauts (including Neil Armstrong) during the X-15 project at Edwards, and later as a GS-16 with the DLA on the SR-71's specialized JP-7 at Beale. I have many fond memories of time on base and some great air shows at Beale, Castle, Hamilton, Mather and McClellan.
