6.1hemi
http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-gt500-18x10-0510.html I found these wheels and tires Nitto 555R 285/40/18' drag radials. I am only putting down 488 RWHP so I'm am hoping they will be good for weekend fun at the drags. The wheels look just like the ones that came with the car. If it still don't hook up then at least I have a nice choice of 18" DR's.

MichaelP
I bought a set of 2010 GT500 18's and they have a little chrome finish on the outside edges of the rim and spokes. Figure I may have them painted to match. I think the rest of the wheel finish is the grey color. Plan on putting MT's on them this spring. I will post pictures when it gets above 18 degrees here and I can tolerate being outside.. M.

The nitto tire chart shows best fitment for a 10" wheel for the 285/40/18's. I wasn't sure if the 305's would rub either. I may just put MT et street drags on later in the summer. Suspension is stock so I am afraid that the wheel hop would be bad with MT's.
jrhsvt
I ordered the 18x10 from american muscle and had them painted; just two of them for now. Here they are painted to match, with 305/40/18 nitto 555R drag radials. 19's are still up front. Huge difference in traction with a tad over 600rwhp. It's easy to tell from the pic, but in person, you have to really look to see the difference in rim size.

jrhsvt
any problem with switching over the factory tpms sensors ? whats up with this box? I ordered replacement TPMS sensors from discount tire for my make/model/year and they work fine. No clearance issues and it seemed to solve my traction issues while looking stock, all the while not spending a $%^& ton of money. My problem was the 2010 vert 18's are 1: machined, not painted and 2: over $600 each and 3: not wide enough for my liking. This is a quick, relatively cheap fix going with the american muscle. Only issue is the paint is multi-colored on our 10's so whomever is doing the painting better know what they're doing.
iamlightning03
one more question j. how close is the tire height of that 305/40/18 compared to the factory 285/19? thanks.

The 285/40 are 26.89" The 305/40 are 27.72" Those are the heights for the nitto's. Tire rack lists the height for our F1's as NA

jrhsvt
I think stock height for the rear 285/35/19 is just a tad under 27''. The 18'' nitto 305/40 will be taller. Got to be caregiver with the 18'' tire height; the car already has a jacked up 4x4 look. No need to make it worse. This is almost a moot point if the car will be lowered $$$$
