03reptile
For those who are ordering a 2011 with stripe delete, be mindful that unlike the 2007 though 2009s, when you order the 2011 stripe delete, it deletes the side stripe, as well. When I ordered my 2007, I was able to delete the LeMans stripe and keep the Shelby blue side stripe. Now that is not possible. Are they trying to piss us off, or what??? These limitation on stripe colors SUCK!!

These limitation on stripe colors SUCK!! Don't recall seeing any 2010's with side stripes only. I'm pretty sure it was the same for last year. Can't you just order it with stripes and have the top stripes removed? There was no "extra" charge for having stripes on the 2010 models, I would think it would be the same for 2011. I think the 2010 has the same restrictions. I have already ordered the grabber blue stripes on my white body. Its the only shade of blue available. Wish Kona blue stripes were available. I'd be all over that!! I'll see how they look when the car arrives and as indicated, I can always remove the LeMans stripe and keep the side stripe as it is with my 2007. Just not wild about the shade of grabber blue. Will have to live with the grabber blue seat insert stripes as well. Can't peel those babies off! Yes, the side and LeMans stripes are no charge on the 2011.

Well, it would cost more in the long run...but you could have just got the car with the stripe delete option and order the stripe kits from Ford for the side pieces so you wouldn't have the stripes on the seats. I personally like the stripes on the seats.

I personally like the stripes on the seats. Yeh, my dealer/owner/friend and I discussed that option too. The stripe replacements are pretty expensive through Ford, so his counsel was to order the stripes and see how I like them. We go back 26 years, so I trust his judgement. He also likes the blue seat stripe, so he told me to quit whinning and wait till it gets here. Said if I didn't like it, he'd put me in a nice Focus! He does have a sense of humor! I've bought 16 new cars from him over the years and he still busts my gonades!

I know the replacement stripes are quite pricey if you want to go with Ford pieces. Hope things work out for you.
BigDan
Its been like this for a now since model year 2010. Its a known fact over here in the 2010-11 GT500 section. Calm down and just get the stripes and pull off the ones you dont want. It doesnt cost any more $$$

Not a big deal, just wanted to have it exactly the way I wanted it. As indicated in a previous post, who knows, I may like it when its in front of me. I'm just dissappointed that Ford didn't provide us more color options. It seems, from a production-line point of view, it wouldn't be too difficult.
