03reptile Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 Stopped off at the dealership today and sales manager handed me my DORA sheet, so it looks like I'll be getting my SHELBY!! This is their first allocation for 2011 and East Coast rep told them they would be getting an allocation. Nothing in writing yet, but now the wait for a VIN to be assigned. Am now officially happy! 03reptile Posted February 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 Congrats! What colors/options? I ordered performance white with the grabber blue LeMans stripes and seat inserts. Would have much preferred the Kona (sp?) blue stripe color, but Ford doesn't make that available...bummer. Don't like the red or silver so I'm stuck with this choice. I took a pass on the SVT package. Don't like the wheel design (look just like my 07s) and I love the new 2010 stock wheel design, which is a carryover to 2011. I ordered no options and kept the car pretty basic, which is what I want. So much is standard that I won't feel a need to add anything. No Nav. or Shaker 1000. Ford is mum on any engine specifications, other than aluminum block. I'm guessing HP will be about 550 or so. Seems like thats a good bet with the parasitic loss of the power steering pump. Even if it stays the same, with that additional weight off the nose, it should be marginally quicker. I think the job one date is for Mustangs, in general. Historically, the Shelbys have been right behind. I'm spitballing that delivery date should be around mid to late May at best or into early June. It'll give me time to sell the 2007 GT500. They have always gotten at least three, since the days of the 2003 SVT Cobras (I got their 3rd allocation in 03) and this is their first allocation for 2011. So.... I think I'm safe in celebrating.
