mrdci
Any one else see people try to low ball you when trying to sell your car. I posted mine on Craigslist and one guy offered 29K and stated his so called friend sold his for that much. I've never seen on sell for less than 32K they even bring 30K or more at wholesale auctions. The lowest listed anywhere near me is at Carmax for 36K and thats their no haggle price. I understand some people have come on hard times and been forced to sell but the resale still seems pretty good. Whats your guys take on it . I have my car listed for 37K and might let it go for a little less. I dont need to sale but the wife doesn't want me to get a new ATV and a new Ducati with Shelby in the Garage. She says I have to many toys already.

If they are seriously looking for a car then they will want to see the car. Be very careful in setting up the meeting and never do it at your house. Ensure you have another person with you when you meet, do not let them drive the car without having your friend hold on to their id while they drive the car with you. It would be best to agree on a price prior to the test drive. Good luck with your sale! I suspect your car will sell for 33-35K. Auto Trader.com or ebay motors might be a safer way to sell and you can factor in their costs to your final price.
FiaCobra
I posted mine on Craigslist and one guy offered 29K and stated his so called friend sold his for that much. You should have told him: "I'm not your buddy" or "Well, you should've bought your buddys car" Don't accept any less than $35k

William Rodgers
There is always going to be folks that try to low ball you. Many are desperate and go for it just to end the hassle. I for one trade my cars in all the time instead of private sale because I can not stand the hassle, that would be the same as getting a low ball offer. I sold my Porsche for a Low Ball offer to get it over with as well, my time is worth to much to me, an extra 1 or 2 thousand to go through all the hassle is just not worth it to many. The New 2011 is not going to help either, they keep improving the GT500. Good luck with the sale.
NICK82
Don't give it to them for under 37k. It takes as long as it does, don't give it away because your wife wants to control you.
GAFSoldier
I had the same problem last year but here on TS. People had PM me that a good price for my car is 30k and even with all the upgrades in it and they every time have some bodys that have a car for the same price for sale. It had take me longer to find somebody but I had say to myself this is a over 50k car and there are not many build so why they only will pay 30k for it. I sold it for more then 40k so I will say stay around 38 to 42 because if they want one then they will pay it.

judgeman6970
as others have said....there will always be low-ballers...just depends on how badly/quickly u need to sell it....imo, the "mods" actually hurt the value of the car, rather than help it....dont know the mileage on your car, but I would think $32-35k is going to move the car....for me, I would only pay more for a bone stock/super lo-mile GT500...good luck with your sale!!
