Glenn Greenwell
2008 SHELBY GT-BJ BODY TRAN MSRP CSM BARRETT-JACKSON I'm trying to match a SGT08 #CSM four digit build number with the 100 SGT/BJ (Barrett-Jackson Limited Edition) Mustang VIN numbers and also locate them in the United States, if you can help me that would be great. Any suggestions would be appreciated, it would be nice to search the registry at some point to get this info. I know Roger is working hard on this. Decided it was best to pull down the VINs for security reasons. I have the info stored if you can help with last five of VIN & SGT08 & CSM number if you run across any SGT-BJs. Thanks, Glenn
FiaCobra
Good luck with that. You may want to contact Roger, from what I understand, he's in charge of the Shelby registry.
Glenn Greenwell
Good luck with that. You may want to contact Roger, from what I understand, he's in charge of the Shelby registry. From what Roger has already said, they were not built in any particular order and not in sequence like 1 of 100 etc. That was a real shame, I think some of the Vista Blues got in the mix, this may not be something I will be able to complete... One of our members 08SGT2294 which is close to me, sent me a note weeks ago and I forgot to ask him about his SGT-BJ. Glenn
twobjshelbys
The VIN-CSM number is most likely known by Shelby but I doubt they would make it public. So that leaves chance observation and people volunteering their info. My two are in the list. There was a BJ car auctioned at BJ Sunday for Cox charities. It is VIN ending in 153087 CSM2227 which I got by looking at the car. I doubt you will ever find the order they were built. It is my understanding they were built in batches to avoid having to switch tooling and stuff around.
SGT-C0056
I am doing something similar on the 2008 GO SGT's, for us, they were built in a row starting at # 1. It is too bad, that the BJ ones were not. Also, from what Amy and others have said, they dont recommend that you list the VIN #'s in public view. Just what I have heard and read. I have not seen a BJ in person, but if i do, i will try to get the CSM.
Glenn Greenwell
I've asked a couple of trusted member friends on the forum about the VINs, I think I may pull down the VINs and track them off an xl spread sheet. Thanks for the input... Glenn

If Roger would take the list and look at the final release build date and time completed, I believe we could put them in order, it would be a pain, but doable. SGT-C0056
Glen, Good idea on pulling the VIN #. shelbymotorsports
The Shelby American team asks that no one post lists of Shelby vin numbers for any of the cars especially vin lists that also contain the CSM numbers. By doing so you are compromising the security of the Shelby American Registry and each cars history by putting out such info for public consumption. Of course I wont say how that info could be used by someone with devious motives but I'm sure you understand. Steve

Steve Hey Steve, As you can see I pulled it down within hours of the post last night, I still am looking for the CSM#s, I was able to locate 4 or 5 more from files on TMS. I am hoping at some point to try and get the build dates on the 100 SGT/BJ cars to see if I can use that to put them in sequence. If anyone has a Shelby GT/BJ and would mind sharing the CSM & VIN for my spread sheet, I would appreciate it, been on the forum for many years and would not do anything to harm the value or registry of our cars, I do get a little flustrated with not being able to access the data base and I know you guys are working on it. It seemed like a great idea at the time, until I thought about it last night after locating five more SGT/BJs. My review of the VINs indicated most of the SGT/BJs VINs were in sequential order, but not all, not sure who made the decision to not build them like the SGT-C, but it was a mistake IMHO. I have about 15 of the cars identified with VIN and CSM, thanks to several of our forum members for there help on this project. GG

GG GG Yes we saw that you removed the vin list and that's why the thread was not moved to the admin area. We didn't get around to discussing this thread until last night, probably the same time you removed the list. Anyway the request to not post vin lists or combinations of vins/CSM numbers comes from the top. I understand your enthusiasm to the B-J cars but as previously mentioned a list of vin numbers along with their corresponding CSM numbers is a potential risk to maintaining accurate registry records. We ask this of not just you but any others that may want to do the same. I don't believe this is an unreasonable request and I'm confident you can see Shelby Americans position on this. Thanks Steve
