Which headers are the best and the best way to install them??? The best headers are a matter of opinion. I have the American Racing ones. Best way to install headers is on a lift. Pull the "k" frame and remove the starter. This will give you much more room to work. I didn't install mine but I watched how Evo did it.
Harry
I have Stainless Works and am very happy with them. Did the install myself, takes time but can be done at home. Must remove battery, battery tray, starter, air filter box and all related pieces all the way to TB. Must loosen and move steering shaft. Motor must be lifted about 1/2 -1 inch to make install easy. Can lift motor with floor jack, front of engine has castings to make lifting motor easy. Must unbolt and move drivers side motor mount. I know this seems way to involved but if you take your time and follow the instructions you will be fine. The payoff is way worth it with increased power and sound. Some on this site do not like headers due to the increase in sound and hassle with install, once the headers are in you can tailor the sound in your choice of mufflers from mild to wild. Check out the info from Justin at VMP on the GT500 mods site, he just finished a install and has some great info running the stock midpipes and mufflers. I put the dynatech LTs on my car, they fit well and I'm using them with the stock catback so they are not loud. They are also not very expensive. http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51248-dynatech-1-78-header-install-on-my-gt500/ http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=356&parent=108 http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=357&parent=

I checked with Anderson Ford and it was like a couple thousand dollars. Price including headers and x pipes was like $3500.
500-VERT
I have the Borla long tube headers on my 40th and my 2010. I love them. Have the Borla stingers also - great sound - but loud! They were a total pain to install and I have a lift...takes the better part of a day to get them installed! But it is so worth the trouble. I used the 4.6 mustang stingers on my 2010 and they are really loud - but that's have the point!

$helby07GT500
I used Kooks with their high flow cats and Corsa exhaust. Really loud under full throttle but quiet otherwise.
