call911fm Posted January 5, 2007 Report Share Posted January 5, 2007 i know this is a mustang site but i need help.... i recently bought a 2004 ford expidition and it has the keypad entry on the driver's side door . does anyone know how to re-program the keypad so i can store my own number in . i come to you all because you all are so wise and helpful. is it july yet ? thats when i will be a new stang owner ( had to take care of mama first ) thanks all ! Phil I have the same pad on my '04 Excursion. I'm not sure, but I think you need to have the code set at the factory to be able to add a new one. I'm pretty sure the factory set code connot be erased, but you can add a code that you can easily remember. I'll check my manual when my truck gets back from the shop. Son of GT Posted January 5, 2007 Report Share Posted January 5, 2007 Yes, Orf is correct. You cannot delete or change the factory master code, but you can add a code of your own. If you don't have the little plastic card that came inside your owners manual, you can get the master code by taking the car to your local Ford dealer who can get it from the car's ECM. As far as programing your own code, how to do it is in your owner's manual, and if you do not have the manual any longer, you can go to Ford's website and read or download a PDF verison of it.
