I live in Hesperia but work, spend most of my awake time, in San Bernardino. You come up with something good let me know.

BTW, where did you get your ride? Got mine at Kearny Mesa Ford, south of you.

Shelbys are around here in San Diego but I agree you don't see many. Of course, I can't talk as mine sits in the garage most of the time. I cannot recall ever being in any gathering in San Diego other than those sponsored by the Mustang Club of San Diego. If you do not belong to that Club, you should look into it. They send out a newletter each month that is interesting and fun.

Well, we just got back from the Shelby Bash and I looked around as much as I could for San Diego County and nearby area members. I didn't find many, but it was a big group and hard to pin down where people were from without talking directly to them. I think Jim is correct; in S.D. Shelby owners are in other groups as opposed to just a Shelby group.

Doesn't mean it couldn't happen, though.

GTR Hi Performance isn't in SD but they are in Rancho Cucamonga and are Mustang specialists. Wouldn't hurt to give them a call or check out their web site linky

I have used both JBA and Renegade Performance. I have been using Renegade Performance most recently. They are three guys who left JBA and set up their own shop. I am real happy with them. I know between the three of them they own at least a GT500 and a Cobra so they have an appreciation for the brand. Renegade can be found at 619-569-4188. Ask for Greg Rentis.

Hello, Im from the PalmSprings area .

I have been out of the "Shelby participation" since 1980.

I joined SOA in 1972 and owned a 69FB ,a 68KR & a 66 GT350 at the time ,

I went to the first SAAC in 1976 in oakland and had CS sign my 66 by etching into the dash below the radio.

At the time I hadnt seen any autographing of cars. there may have been some, but I had never seen or heard of it occuring

.

I went to the Monterey Nat Convention back in late 70's or 80.I dont recall now exactly the year, and I took my dash out of my 69 conv GT350 and hunted down Shelby,Dick Smith Pete Brock and 1 or so other and had them sign it. rick Kopecs wife took my pic w/the dash and it was pub in their SAAC Book (bi mo issues)

CS autographed it in 80 on the GT350 tape ,front fender.

My 69 Conv won peoples choice in its class at 2 or 3 West coast National meets between 76 and 81.

Any way i lost alot of interest by about 1984 or 85.

The whole shelby thing was vastly different than in the old days ,no doubt better now.

The resources and the internet have really changed things I imagine.

Im going to slowly try and get back up to speed by reading the forum.

Im new to this just got the shelby in jan,any one else in so-cal going to Knotts?

Hello and welcome to TS.... yes, a number of us will be at Knotts. Check out the Fabulous Fords thread ( http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/52556-2010-fabulous-fords-forever-car-show/page__pid__932170__st__20entry932170 ) for a run down. Did you attend the San Diego run yesterday? For SoCal events, it's best to keep checking the Team Shelby » Events » Team Shelby Regional Groups » Pacific U.S. threads... always something going on. A number of us in SoCal that are also TS members are trying to get together more often such as yesterdays San Diego cruise. So join in on the fun if you can.
