KingCobra666
Greetings, My car just came off the line today, headed to the stripe plant. :hyper: My car is a coupe but only has a rocker stripe which I understand they apply at the main assembly plant. Apparently they put the "medallion"(fake gas cap) on at the stripe plant because it needs to go on top of the stripes normally, so all the caps are put on over there. Its scheduled to be here on the 16th, but earlier I was told to expect delays. Now it looks like the plant is running on time or even ahead according to my sales guy. Not sure of the hang time in the stripe plant though. Hopefully a car with no stripes will have a short time there but who knows, it may have to go down the line like them all. They probably put the caps on last. I hope not. I just had a root canal today and the salesman called with the good news. Talk about pain killer! :happy feet: Should be good news for other Jan delivery folk as well, WOOT! At least there not way behind or on hold. Keeper goin FoMoCo! Trust me, and the rest, it is more than worth it. Words just cannot describe the rush of going thru the gears. And I don't even have the cold air and tune yet. KingCobra666
Greetings, Update: Car went thru Foreign plant in a day, its to be loaded on a freight car Monday, delivery the 11th! I need floormats stat! Anyone know of any cool places to get a set of mats at a reasonable price? I would go to Shelby Inc. but from what I 've read they are not shipping and or have a messed up shopping cart. Also, the dealer seems to want me to pay in advance, a couple days ahead on Tuesday. Any reason they would want their money up front, besides being eager to lock it up so to speak? They have a 5k deposit already. He mentioned paperwork, how much paperwork is on a car thats being paid for with a check? I am a bit reluctant to do it. I never have bought a car this way, the whole thing is unusual, sight unseen, undriven. Im afraid if I DONT do it, they will put it out for sale until I take it home. If any one could share their experience in the payment department would help a bunch. Has anyone else paid upfront? KC666

KC666 http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/iwwida...51&comp=LRS - floor mats I'm sure there are many other places too. I would not pay for it in advance...just ask him why. SHouldn't be much paperwork...a sales order and a receipt is about all. If you have a written agreement there should be no way they'd sell it out from under you. Good luck. Had to move a car to make room in the garage, a 73 Chrysler Newport that was taking up more than its fair share of space. Its a huge car! Wife has been helping too, doing the insurance for the car. We are ready! KC666

KingCobra666
...'bought me a Chrysler, it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail'......B-52's...'Love Shack' LOL! Yeah I've heard that one before. "Got me a Chrysler, seats about 20 , so c'mon and bring your juke box money!" Its a good car, got a 400 2v and 727 behind it. It weights 5700lbs and change! Its not going to win any races(unless they are on real steep incline) but its fun to cruise with my honey next to me on the massive bench seat. One of these days when I get some money up after this massive purchase, Im going to restore it or maybe rod it. Now its sitting in the warehouse at work. I need a big detached garage if I keep on buying cars... Update on car delivery: My delivery got moved back to the 17th and now its seems the car is going to be a bit tardy. Its still on the rail heading to Titusville FL so Im going to have to wait a bit longer. Its somewhere out there, my sales guy is working on finding out exactly where. There was 2 train wrecks in Ky which may have slowed things...hopefully it wasnt IN the train wreck. Its a bit overdue but im trying to stay calm.... Picked up a set of those righteous mats, thanks guys! :happy feet: KC666
