gth0007
The news media has grown to be exceptionally powerful during the "information revolution" created by all of the instant on-line news sources. The questions are, Who is the news media, what is their education, what is their political and social background, what is their economic status, who are they related to, how much money do they make, have they every been convicted of a crime, what is their current political affiliation, who decides WHAT news you hear, who writes and edits the news stories, where do they live, who do they associate with regularly, and does any of the news media types have anyone to hold them accountable? All of this is important to know and is part of their crediblity (or lack of). The media prides themselves on "discovering" dirt on people so why don't we reverse the game a bit. Let's start doing a complete "vetting" process on them, put it on the blogs, forums, websites, just like they do!! Let's hear about their past or present drug use, divorces, extra-marital affairs, alcholoism, trips to re-hab, shakey business deals, bankrupt filings, associations with criminals/radicals/ weirdos, college grades, and any other scandal real or perceived. No matter if you label yourself a conservative or liberal, just pick out the media types of your choice and let's see who they really are. Suggestions, let's start with the news anchors and work from there, then go directly to the name of the News Station's Producers and Network executives, then finish up with the reporters.
