iceman
I would love to - but that's a little too far for me unless I fly and that defeats the purpose.....so I guess another no.

I'll have to give that one some thought. Thanks, TTB! That is, of course, if I have my Shelby by then.

owenkelley
We're going, I made my reservations at the hotel last week. I wanted to drive the new GT500 but my buddies have old Shelbys and they insist that we drive them down there. It's about 500 miles from here, which means 100 gallons of gas round trip. I think I'd rather drive the new one with A.C. cruise, tilt, power seat, nice sound system and twice the fuel mileage! Oh well, it's probably the last long trip we'll take it on, and it should be fun to have about a half-dozen old Shelbys cruising down the road together. These are the cars I think are going from our area: 67 GT500 - 2 68 GT500 - 1, maybe 2 68 GT350 - 1 maybe 2 69 GT500 convertible - 1 We may meet up with some other guys on the way and all cruise down together. We should see how many people from this forum go and have a "Stangs Unleashed" get together sometime that weekend!
