dohcsvt
I am interested in buying a Super Snake. I currently own a regular GT500 but am unfamiliar with the SS. How can I tell is it is a real SS and not just a clone? I am sure there are websites but I have not looked real hard. I figured it would just be best to ask guys that know! Thanks, Ottis
Michael Morris
CSM number! Dont think anyone can fake the plaque between the vents! If you find a SS that you think is fake send me the VIN and CSM number and I can tell you if its real or not Wheels with have Super Snake molded on them. CSM number under the hood. Most of the SSs have Super Snake mats (early production didnt have them, could buy them later) Im sure theres more, but Im just trying to give you the quick stuff MM
henrycp
Like Michael said. Look for the plaque in the center dash and get the CSM number. The number should match the plague in the engine bay to. "Super Snake" on the wheels. The dash plaque will also tell you where it was SS'd. In the past I've even called the Mod shop to confirm. I've even asked the shop if the CSM matches the VIN they have on record to. If you call, be sure to call the mod shop. Meaning, do not call Vegas if it was SS'd in Texas. Son of GT
Another way to tell if it's a real Super Snake is when it's in front of you and pulling away at tremendious speed. But really, another way to confirm that it's real would be to open the door and check the sill plate. The CSM SS number there should match the numbers that are on the dash plaque and engine compartment plaque.

dohcsvt
BIG FAT LIE The above link is what I was interested in. No need to worry now that I have more info. I thought it may be a clone, or maybe some guy in a bad situation. Turns out he "fell on hard times" and needed to get back on his feet. He has the title <_< . I asked for the CSM number and his phone # so we could talk. He just responded that the car is in great condition no leaks ....blah blah and tells me we would use ebay VPP for the transaction to "protect us both". Also, the car is in Illinois, not Ohio like the add states. I email him back, phone number, CSM and BTW I have a friend in Indy that can come look at it at his convenience. He responds with some crap about not wanting to wait foe people at his house and not wanting to wait by the phone blah blah. Just send me your name and address and we can get it going he says. I am 100% legit he says. IF YOU ARE he says lets make the deal and you won't be disappointed. I amailed him back saying OK I will buy it just have to get the $$$ together. The only reason Idid this is to keep him on the hook while I reported it to the authorities. I hate people that try to cheat others, they irritate me to no end! If I met him in operson he would be on the wrong end of a 250lbs ass kicking. I still need to let Autotrader know that this guy is a fake. The federal website I reported it to 24hrs ago still has not contacted me, so he will probably rape some poor soul for a bunch of $$$ before I get around to letting autotrader know its fake. Slabo
What I have a 40th anniversy kr and i can not get them! I am just getting so bugged with these damn cf rockers. I thought the cf rockers on the KR are different that on the SS/40th Anniv? I do know SAI had to change the design on the SS/40th Anniv. cf splitter early on because they infringed on the Ford design.

All you have to do is click the report it link above the listing. They usually just use pictures from some other listing on Ebay or whatever. Also Ebay VPP is not a transaction escrow service. Presenting it this way is common of fraudulant ads.
