08sgt1042
Andrew just curious as to who did your Chip Beck scoop? What is the cost of the scoop, I am on my 5th go round and am very tired of dealing with inept dealer installers. Mick

ChipBeck
Gentlemen, I spent over $6,000 of my own money designing, testing, engineering, and then redesigning every aspect of this scoop, the materials it's made out of, it's method of installation, how the hood needs to be prepared, and the type of stripe it needs to sit on, so that the total installation presents the same aesthetics as the original and will last for decades. 22 Shelby GTs are wearing these scoops today with 22 100% satisfied owners. Compare that 100% satisfaction rate with the multiple replacement horror stories that are all too common with warranty replacements. Many owners using the latest version of the Shelby's replacement scoop utilize my method of installation using rivet nuts. What's in it for me if you buy and install a Heath/Beck scoop? Nothing, not one dime. But I do derive a lot of personal satisfaction from helping out my fellow Shelby owners and it seemed like an awful waste not to share what I have learned. The incremental cost of building additional scoops using my mold is just a fraction of what it took to build my original. Is Shelby's newest scoop as good as the Heath scoop? No, it's not. But it's still a good scoop and if your car is under warranty it's a free scoop and that's a lot better than having to pay for a Heath scoop. But for owners who value their time, don't want to deal with multiple dealership attempts, and want the best solution, the Heath scoop is the ultimate solution. Finally, the only restriction I put upon Heath is that he can only sell one of these to a Shelby GT owner for installation on a Shelby GT. Heath will not allow one to be put on a standard Mustang in an attempt to clone one of our cars. All the best. Chip
