mad103
Does anyone have a 2006 GT with a 255/35/ZR20 tire fitment and lowered? WITH a Chin Spoiler? I have the wheels/tires installed and got the Eibach Pro Kit that lowers the car 1.3 F and 1.4 R, not installed. I am planning to add a CDC Agrresive Chin Spoiler but seeing my car height right now makes me wonder if it will be possible to have lowering springs and a chin spoiler WITHOUT scrapping. I know the need to go on 45 angle on ramps and bumps but I am wonder on the road, will it be possible. Please, anybody, give me input, as I am looking to either install the springs or not. The chin spoiler is a MUST but would like to do the springs. Thanks and sorry if I am being repetitve. I tried searching but didnt find much help

I tried searching but didnt find much help I guess it depends on your main driving area, be it city or country. Some of us live in the country type of flat ground environments (Michigan for me) that let us get away with those low chin spoilers. My '01 GT had a steeda chin spoiler when I lived in New Jersey for a couple of years. I did not even lower the car and that thing rubbed everywhere. Just my two cents, but if you live in any type of big city environment where there are lots of curbs and changes in concrete elevations/ramps, I would advise against it unless you want to replace it every year or so. My steeda chin spoiler finally bit the dust during one of the heaviest rain storms I have every been in during my life. I was on the route 80 going west from Jersey back to Michigan, and I was just following the semi truck red tail lights, could not even see any yellow on the road because of the heavy rain bouncing off the road and my car. When I finally got to Michigan, all the 3m adhesive strips had it, and the few bolted areas ripped off and I ran the damn thing over. If I had it to do over again, I would go for an integrated spoiler with the complete front bumper. That piece of crap steeda thing was such a pain in the ass to mount, and chinsy, so I am not for those add on chin spoilers! If I go for a change this time, it will be the whole bumper coming off and a whole new aftermarket bumper going on. Good luck though, just my two cents. mad103
Thanks for the advise. We just got 20's on the car and from the looks of it, the car looks super low now. (this is my brothers car) he just got eibach pro kit springs which lowers the car even more and he has a chin spoiler down the line. we live in suburbs, so i wouldnt say its CIty but guess we will have to wait and see. just wanted to see if anybody else had their car lowered and chin spoiler. thanks again
