Thinking about getting a catted X-pipe

Well, just installed the Roush cat-back a couple weeks ago...and since blowing out the stock cats on the dyno (shop replaced them with another mustang's), I am thinking about getting an aftermarket catted X just to ease my mind. The current setup is pretty loud...but I was thinking that an aftermarket catted X wouldn't make it "too rediculous". I am not wanting header-style volume, yet. I see that there are 2.5" mid pipes and 3" mid pipes available. What would be main difference to me with a tune, pulley, cat-back setup? Which one should I go with...2.5" or 3". The Roush exhaust is 2.5" so I would think that a 2.5" catted X would be in order. What are your thoughts on volume addition and size preference?

Thanks!!

Scott
