FordRocks1
Under heavy acceleration or even at the track I seem to miss third gear alot, seems like when I shift the shifter hits like a wall or something, is anyone else having this issue? Has anyone changes out their shifter from the hurst to something else? 1st to 2nd is goo to go, it's just third-15,000 miles coming up soon. I missed it all the time UNTIL I had the tranny synchro TSB done to my (ex) car. After that it was smooth as buttah!

Thanks, I will do this TSB ASAP and see if this will aid the dreaded third gear miss. Found the TSB in our sticky, thanks to Grabber.

slbgtsc
Last summer I had the same problem and I went with the steeda tri ax shifter with the hurst lever and ball and have not had any issues.
kahmann
I'm considering swapping the Hurst out for the Pro5.0 shifter. I've heard and read tons of great reviews on it. I'll let ya know how I like it, if/when I go that route. Ken
