Frank S
I'll be interested to kow what options experienced users recommend, as well. One of the things to think about is that all that energy previously wasted in wheelspin and smoke is going to go somewhere; U-joints, drive shafts, axle shafts, drive shaft loops are all going to come into play more with drag tires than with street tires. EDIT: the Mickey Thompson tire material says, "Acceptable practice for rim width is tread width plus or minus 1''. CAUTION: It is not recommended that radial and non-radial tires be mixed on the same vehicle." So there you are for wheel choice on that tire:11-13 width, right? Secondo
I just got a set of Mickey Thompson Street Radial II's, 305/35/18's and they hook really good, surprisingly good at 40psi- I'm going to the track on Sunday for some hopefully good 60' times. ShowCar
From what Ive seen MT's work the best but last only about 5-7,000 miles. I have the drag radial 2's measuring 265/40/18. I knocked a solid .2 off the sixty foot and they are brand new with 6/32 tread on them. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.p...TStreetRadialII

I agree, I am getting beat by cars that on paper I should beat but get spanked because I sit there and just light up the 20's. I hear that the Nitto Invo tires are a good street/track tire.
