I recently concluded a search for my KR, I made contact with a Ford Regional Business Specialist and received a Nationwide List of all the 08-09 KR's available, by color, vin etc. If anyone is looking for a specific color in a particular location contact me and I will give you the information. According to Shelby Auto they have an agreement with ford and will not convert a KR to a SS, I asked this is how I know they will not do it... I went to sema last nov. stopped in at shelby,had private tour and i was told that there was only "21" blue KR;s built in 09 . i took my air bag cover and had the guys who did my car sign it under shelbys autograph ,have papers of proff only copies .. and yes there is a KR out there that was converted into a super snake .i know because bob tasca told me that he had a guy with lots of$$$$$$$$ and wanted it done. it was done to a 08 he did not tell me what color..I took BOBS advise and bought a KR over a super snake because in the near future they will be worth more MONEY..please take my word.for the truth there are to many super snakes made to date and to be made in the future to be worth as much as a "KR".when i retired i wanted a2010 convtertable super snake, could of had one made ,TOOK BOBS ADVICE AND BOUGHT A 09 KR BECAUSE THEY MADE LESS ..AND I DID NOT BUY THE CAR FROM TASCA ,THEY HAD NONE..HUNTED ONE DOWN..JUST TO KNOW, BOB WILL SAY HE NEVER SAID THIS TO ME..IF YOU OWN A "KR" YOU DID THE RIGHT THING BY GETTING ONE...... frknfast Posted August 28, 2010 Report Share Posted August 28, 2010 Roch "FOR CANADIAN PRODUCTION" A fiend of mine contacted Steve Thornton of Shelby America and according to Steve there were 130 cars made for export to Canada. I will try and get the breakdown. Of course I would prefer the lower number you mentioned. My dealer also said there was less than 100 that came into Canada. So still not sure of the actual number. Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but a couple questions that come to mind: I saw the Canadian breakdown, I believe all Canadian models were 09's but I thought I'd read that there were a total of 141 to Canada...so was the 130 number that frknfast posted correct after all? I believe there was a 1 of 1 silver with Black Stripes....I think it was an '08...would that one be accounted for in the total silver number? Do we have any more detail on the number of prototypes built in 08? How many of the 1011? Any details about the unique differences for each prototype? I am curious about options like NAV, etc...but we probably won't have that until the registry is complete. Any other info to add here? Thanks and Happy Holidays!
