gt500dvr
I'm coming to Las Vegas this winter. I have a few important questions. Are the Factory Tours still M-F at 10:30? Can I bring my camera on the tour? I have my girlfriend coming along. I have some questions from her. She wants to see Vegas Shows like "Love-Cirque du Soleil". Tickets start at $139! Where is the best place to get tickets? Is it cheaper to get tickets the day of the show? $139 for the cheap seats seems nuts. Now here is the last and hardest question. Which is the best Elvis Wedding Chapel? Anyone have firsthand knowledge?
MY500SS
Factory tours are still M-F at 10:30. Cameras are fine, but not in the mod shops. Love is a GREAT show if you like the Beatles. I'll check with Marji about a good place for tickets. I have no clue about the best Elvis Wedding Chapel, but CONGRATS to you and your girlfriend. The O show at the Bellagio or the KA show at the MGM will blow you away. Both are way better than LOVE. My brother got married at one of the Elvis chapels and it was a great time. I will ask him and get back to you. Congrats! :happy feet:
stormeaston
Buy your tickets at one of the ticket outlets they have on the strip a day or the morning of the show date you want to see, it'll be alot cheaper but you may not get very good seats, depends on how many people have been there before you. We got married at Treasure Island Chapel, they took car of everything and it was fairly cheap. They take alot of pictures, watch out here they really soak you for them. I could have given a $hit about pictures but the old lady wanted them, that set me back 2k or 1/3 the cost of a super charger. The Wedding itself was only like 500.00 and that was a complete package. Make sure you smile for the web cam and make sure you sign the wall at Shelby, please look for mine it says "Dave and Angie, Foggy Bogg,WI"
BAD SNAKE
I go to Vegas every now and then and I am always looking for deals. The best deals for flights and room that I have found is, http://www.lasvegas.com/ As far as shows I can't find any good deals. I do know there's a couple of places on the strip that sell unsold seats for shows at a good discount. O, welcome to the site!!
WildAzCat
If you only see one show make sure it's KA at the MGM. By far in my opinion it's the best Cirque show. Get discount tickets on the day of show. I get mine just inside the M&M / Coke building in front of the New York, New York. You'll save about $25 bucks. Do not buy the lowest priced tickets. Buy the middle or higher priced ticket. The stage rotates in all directions and your view will be impaired a few times as the cheep seats are up high. Have fun. That is closer to my hotel.

QuickSilverShelby
Cirque shows in order of my favorites. #1 - O #2 - Ka #3 - Mystere #4 - Zumanity #5 - Love I found Love kinda boring but I have to say I am a little too young to be a Beatles fan. If you like the Beatles, you'll like this one. QSS
ejrail
I have airline tickets and hotels. I have been to this ticket place next to MGM. Is there another place to get tickets at the mall across from the Wynn? I seem to remember that. That is closer to my hotel. My daughter got married at one of the chapels last year on Saturday during NASCAR weekend. It was fun. They set up everything on line and shot video, photos, put the ceremony on their web site for aweek so the people couldn't make it got to see it, etc. They picked up the weding party at our hotel in a stretch limo, took us to the chapel and brought us back. Most have different priced pacakges depending on what you want. We had close to 50 guests show up from Salt Lake and the party was on afterwards. I don't know if it is was because it was Saturday, NASCAR or what but they were moving the weddings thru like crazy. It was almost too rushed. We go to Vegas 2x-3x a year. We were there in June. In fact we're driving down for the Las Vegas Nationals, NHRA, over Halloween again in two weeks :happy feet: Planning another SAI tour on Monday, Nov. 2nd The SAI tour and museum are open weekdays only. You can take all of the pics you want, except in the shop area of the tour. However you can take a picture of the autographed shop wall and/or you adding your 2 cents to the wall. They even provided a ladder ad lots of Sharpies. Yes, there is a half price place at the mall with the "flying saucer" dome across from the Wynn. You need to be there sort of early as they go fast and might be a limited quantity. Those half price ticket places probably won't have any of the "A" show tickets. They usually have the lesser shows, even though you may have heard of the entertainers. That's been our experience over the years. I am in the hotel business in Utah. Our company is in a joint venture in Planet Hollywood, formerly the Alladin. Our guest service manager has seen all of the Cirque shows at least once. Each show has it's own dedicated theater. He says there are good spots to sit, depending on the show. We saw Mystyre at the Mirage for the wedding. He told us to sit a ways back from the stage as people come out of the walls and ceiling. Hey, its Vegas. The clerk at the ticket office told us the same thing. O is better viewed closer to the stage because it is in a large water tank. We saw Blue Man and the Venitian for $110. Well worth the price. I did find that the sooner you book your seats, even on line, the cheaper they are. Our $110 seats were going for $135 the day of our show. Also check for black out dates. We didn't see a show in June because of the timing. Congrats and have fun
Torch40
For a change of pace go see Terry Fator. He's the ventriloquist guy who won America's got talent. I thought the show was going to be dorky but it was funny and fast paced.
circleofsnakes
I live only a hour outside of Vegas and have never been to any of those shows. I have been to the Shelby factory quite a few times though. As far as tickets go, a lot of them give you a discount if you are a AAA member. I think they actually gave me a better one for AAA, rather than being a Nevada resident.
blueovalkid
I was just in Vegas, and we saw the Cirque "Love" show and we thought it was awesome. That was my first Cirque show so I cant compare it to the others. Yes tours at SAI are M-F at 10:30 The reason for that is the guys in the Mod shop take lunch at 11:00. They take you through the Mod shop while they are on lunch so that they dont have to try and talk over all the noise.

kahmann
Lots of great info here. I was about to start a thread asking similar questions, but that's unnecessary after reading through this one. I'm booked for Vegas for the first time ever and I'm awfully excited to get to tour the factory. Any other absolute must see venues while I'm there? I'll be there for an energy conference (Powergen International) from December 7th-10th. Ken

It is always changing and it is great show. at least 100 cars to see. For free admission, pick up the magazines in the Imperial Palace lobby and there is a "free" coupon for two. It's the second best car show deal in Vegas. Right after the Shelby museum of course. QSS

We got there about 10.00 and it was already packed. There is also a store there and it is not a very big place, but great to see. Rick
