HARALD KELLEY
While returning from SAI, I had an intermittent fuel smell. No leaks under the hood. Today I pulled the seat and the rubber seal on the fuel pump. It is wet. I assume this may be my smell I am getting. Any suggestions on removing/reseteing the retainer and do I need a new o-ring? This is a GT 500 fuel pump. Thanks.

One of the 6 or 8 metal tabs that lock your pump into place is probably not seated properly. I highly recommend taking this to your dealer and save yourself the hassle. Good luck Ken
07-2937
Maybe your "o"ring is positioned wrong it is a difficult task but two people can usually accomplish it take your time or take it to the dealer
