jmn444
OK, spent a little time on my FIRST official mod to my sgt, and pretty happy with the results... here's some pics of the process: Recieved the emblem a couple days ago: First, I masked off the area around the emblem so I could hopefully avoid f-ing it all up... popped the old emblem off, easy, but really bent the hell out of it... exposed the ribbing that previously supported the aluminum emblem (and hopefully isn't structural to the airbag assembly...) used a razor blade to shave it down flush, i suspect there's better options for tools to do this, but patience and a razor was fine... took off my protective tape, and ran a tape line to help line up the lettering on the new emblem... only used the pass. side adhesive that was on the back of the emblem, which i asked to just be a ring of 3m tape, and added a bit of 1 min. epoxy to that same side to really bond it to the airbag material... I'm really unsure of where exactly the bag tears, but fairly certain that by bonding the emblem to only the passenger side, it should operate just fine AND not go flying off the material into my (or a passengers) body somehow... i got lucky and it lined up good the first time i pressed it on, not sure if it would have come back off to try again! and FINALLY, how it looks all done! motorjock205
The airbag actually splits down the middle until it gets to the emblem and it actually goes around the left side of the emblem and back down the middle below the emblem when it deploys, so you can attach the entire emblem to the airbag and be fine...I'd be afraid that by attaching it only on one side, it will flop around on you at some point... I would agree with this, BUT i have no idea how the ribbing i removed affects the break points of that cover, and would prefer to NOT find out the hard way... it's not just the vertical ribbing that gets removed to make this work, it's a solid ring around the diameter of the emblem, and that leads me to believe that I may have affected the functional structure a bit... if it falls off, i can buy more epoxy, if the gets fired into my skull, not so quick a fix... so I opted for the one-half bonding as a partial safety measure... SWEDEMAN
Funny..... my dentists did the same thing, precision workshop, lasers & reverse mirror fabrication imaging! Yes it was a little out there profession wise but same results are achieved. I guess it is all in who you know~~~

07GTH371
Alright guys and gals, SAI doesn't seem to want to make these or the faux gas cap covers. If you know anybody that can make these for both, PM me. I have tried and tried to overpay shelby for the privilege but as you can guess, I'm just wasting my time. JeffIsHereToo
See here for another option: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/59613-looking-for-a-sgt-steering-wheel-emlem-to-cover-the-mustang-emblem-on-my-sgt/ Mine looks great! Edit: Oh wait...do you want a GTH specific version? For my white/silver 07 the: - "S" snake engine dress up - headrests - floor matts - dead peddle - center wheel caps - Berg gas cap - 3rd party lighter plug - steering wheel center In total I think completes the look in a clean and consistent way. For the GTH this is a lot harder to achieve given a lot of these are not made in a GTH version and those that exist are often "gold" with the other generic items in silver. Sorry I don't have an answer other than maybe making a similar list of items and asking SA to take another look at making the missing items for the GTH. That said I think the GTH, and this is ME personally, is best left as is. It's a rare car of 500, my car is one of thousands, and the GTH has a better chance of increasing in value and changes like this may not be viewed favorably by many. But it's your car so do as you feel best for you!

jmn444
Do you have a line on GT-H specific designs? No, but the guy that made mine can/will do pretty much any design, but I THINK he is limited to the mirror background, not sure if any colors are options or not... you'd just have to find a sample that you'd want on the emblem I think.
