Still Intense
Need to know the general opinion on this question: I've added FRPP springs to the Shelby and it lowered the car 1.25 inches at all four corners. Have also put on an adjustable Panhard bar, Panhard bar brace, and adjustable third link. What is everyone's opinion on the need to ALSO add lower control arm relocation brackets? Lower control arms are stock and are still in the stock location; relocating them is turning into a challenge; the car is not raced but is driven hard on the street and I don't want to cause problems.... Thanks in advance for your advice!
chuckstang
Simple Don't do it Not needed Why do you want to anyway, are you haveing problems now still with wheel hop, traction? If its traction, get some better tires. I don't even run an adj UCA and have no issues. I'd leave it alone, thank me later
Still Intense
Chuck, once again you have provided the kind of answers that I appreciate: direct and brief. Appreciate the info; it was getting to be too much effort for too little gain. Anyone else have a differing opinion?
LuisA
If you drive hard you will get wheel hop, if you do, install the J&M UCA and LCA........they work very well.....tested up to 624RWHP on my previous GT500.
Still Intense
Got it Luis. So aftermarket LCAs. What about relocation brackets for the LCAs? The new LCAs would still use the factory mounting locations otherwise....or doesn't that matter in your opinion?
LuisA
I did not use relocation brackets. In my opinion you do not need them for street driving. You may also want to look into the Fays2 watts link.....it made a signifficant difference.
Still Intense
Got it Luis. As I suspected, too much work for nearly zero return. Thanks for the help...
