Alarm System

Recommended Posts

I hate to sound silly but can someone tell me how to activate my alarm system? I can't find any mention of it in the owner's manual and the Salesman at the dealership told me it had it but I guess we never took the time to cover it before I took it home. I feel fairly stupid but can someone help?

Thanks

When did my name get changed to David? :headscratch:

Ok, I'll get him now.

Are you related to John Kerry? :finger:

Just kidding dude, glad you got it sorted out.

Dave,

It is not sorted out. He started another thread on the same question just a little bit ago.

Back to topic. :redcard: I did ask a question and it is not in Dutch.

Does the active alarm system have a separate battery for the security horn? So that the alarm can't be cut off when the regular battery of the car is disconnected.

..dont have one yet, but have read up on it, and nowhere does it say that there is a separate battery. In fact ford brags about having a larger battery to enable it to sound longer and louder. There is a separate horn though. Hope this helps.

John

ps on another thread I posted some info about the system that goes into these details

SCGT500,I am trying to make a post from a wireless Blackberry phone.I have never done this type of remote post. I am in a cabin by Mt.Bachlor in Oregon. I am with family on a vacation. Dinner is cooking and we will go play in the snow tomorrow. My screen on the blackberry is 2inchs X 1-1/2 inch and it shows the entire forum. It is a trip to scroll thru so I will not be posting much.

Rob, use the Lo-Fi version Link at the bottom of the page. It gets rid of all the extra crap, is great for viewing / posting from mobiles. (I use it frequently with my sidekick).

??? Are you serious??

SCGT500, I am serious. We headed out of town at about 11am today. Drove up and over Mt.Hood and thru Bend Oregon to a real nice home in the mountins called Sun River. We come up with my folks every year and spend time together. Now that I got a build date of Jan.15th, I am going to try to chill out my PSDS. I will give you a call later. I need MasterMech to cover for me while I am gone. Dave is not doing his job with the newbys. Ha ha. Grabber out.post made with my hand held wireless blackberry.
