Good to know info. I would still like to know if Ford plans to produce a GT500 with an automatic tranny.

Sorry, no auto for the 500.

Kinda silly...to think that Ford is able to come up with a 315HP V6 for 2011, but in 2005 the best they could muster out of a 4.6L V8 was 300HP...guess my GT will be in competition with the 2011 V6s...please say that's not true!

And once again, it took GM to come up with the 300HP V6 Camaro for Ford to get their act together...absolutely pitifull!

And don't be suprised if you see a 2.0 4 cylinder Ecoboost engine in the Mustang's future too... :shades:

think about it, if lets say they had a 300 hp v-8 option OR a 315hp v6 option, which would you go for? i know which one i would :) v-6 :)

i do agree Ford needs to lead not follow in powertrain....and according to just about everyone, the Z/28 is headed to production with the LSA 556Hp V-8 so for the shelby might be time to grow up and make the TVS std. w/605-630hp

Yup, you're exactly right 2.3 ltr Turbo charged 4. That pic is a 1985 model. I perfer the 1986 model because of the flush headlamps...
