I keep on forgetting who to send these to, I think this is the third one I've posted on here. Either way, if someone could send this to the powers that be, that would be great. I think its Robert...

Check out the Dash Plaque??

What's wrong with it?

Isn't it a little dishonest to hide the salvage title? Saying "This vehicle comes with a rebuilt title" in small print sounds fishy. Took me 3 glance to find it.

For starters, look at the sides where it fits around the vents, not very symetrical.

Secondly, compare it to mine:

Wow, Stngfever, great eye! I would have totally missed that until I got close. That upsets me that people are reproducing those now... just one more thing we all have to keep an eye on. Nice catch though.

Also failed to take a picture of the front badge on the radiator support. This is as important as the dash plaque, so I guess there is none.

Wrecked Shelbys need to be noted in the Shelby Registry, but I wouldn't be too quick to judge the quality of the "repaired" car. Many states have very odd laws about when a "salvage" or "rebuilt" title is attached to a damaged car and some states have no title branding at all. Most of the larger insurance companies are very quick to declare a car a "salvage" then pay the insured a lump sum for a replacement car. This is a quick and very easy way to settle the claim thus avoiding rental car fees, repair problems, and later possible litigation over the safety of the car. A "salvage or rebuilt" title may HAVE to be attached to the car when the insurance claim is paid when in fact the car has very little damage. Not talking about the cars that were rollovers, or wrapped around a tree type damage. If you visit an Auto Salvage auction you will see many many cars that have little damage and are in fact very easily repaired. So buyer beware, but don't miss out on a good deal, and do your homework, CarFax etc. NO, I'm not a salvage rebuilder and I have never bought, sold, or offered for sale a wrecked car. :headscratch:

No matter how great a deal I got, I sure would be bummed out when I saw that my dash plaque didn't look like everyone else's!!

that might be why there's no black tape down the middle of the sliver hood scoop.

I wonder if the dash badge could look different because it doesn't have the IUP the the satin dash. Or could it have popped off in an accident and been replaced improperly?
