OneTrickPony
I've had mine up to redline in first gear a few times then shut it down. I looked through the owners manual and the GT500 supplement manual and couldn't find anything under break in. I was told just vary the speed for the first 500 miles and don't change the oil for the first 5000 miles, ouch. My tech is a kowledgeable person, and said this helps the engine break in, other than that just drive the car and enjoy.
Baby Gorilla
I took it easy for the first 25 miles. Since then I've been driving it both easy and hard, hitting the rev limiter a few times and doing some burn-outs. I really believe that these things were not made to be babied, for the first 500, 1000 miles or at any other time.
Still Intense
Been driving it both gently and hard. Been up to 125 and taken some twisty roads like a lunatic. Really wanted to shake it out and see how it performed: no problems at all. By the way, the performance in Sport mode is awesome if you like road courses..... bpmurr
Been driving it like I stole it for 2500+ miles now! Ok it's been a mix but still I haven't babied it.
