Helge Ruchelski
Well, I can't hold back any longer. I have been very patient with doug or Matt at Bamachips, and I have finally had enough! (I purchased from Bama because of all the rave reviews on this forum). I puchased and received a SCT tuner in May this year, and after I installed it, my engine light came on, and stayed on after numerous attempts to clear the codes. When I install the factory tune, and remove the battery cable for a while, all is good. There is definatly a programming issue with the tuner. Don't get me wrong, I love the tuner, however, I have sent 5 or 6 e-mails, phoned at least 10 times, with no answer since June and I have only received 1 reply to resend the details of the vehicle again. This was sent on August 8th, and again no reply! I'm not trying to bash the company, especially if there is a reason for me being ignored like this, but I really am out of options. Hopefully Doug or Matt will read this.

Frank S
I understood they were changing buildings. I took that as accounting for the 20-day delay in shipping my order. That makes me about two for three in the "not as fast as you'd like" category. The other such episode was at a model-year change, and the SCT folks were resolving a couple of issues before BamaChips could do their thing. Hopefully Doug or Matt will read this. I orderd a 93 race tune from them earlier this year and it didn't work. The car cranked but wouldn't start. It took several emails and phone calls and about three more tune files before they got it right. Keep in mind, I have Brenspeed tunes and I didn't have any problem with them. I gave Bama the same info as I did Brenspeed but Bama had alot of trouble getting the tune right. However, I liked the 93 race tune so I decided to get the 93 torque tune. I gave Bama the same info as before along with reference to the 93 Race tune file so that they could get the tune right the first time. Well, they didn't get it right. I emailed repeatedly and never got a response. I called and Matt said he would get the file out to me that day, but never did. I called back several times and got the same answer, that I would get a new tune file that day but never did. I finally talked to Doug and he didn't know what the problem was but by then I was fed up and asked for a refund which I got promptly. They apparently have trouble with some of the Shelby GT's (I have and early 2007, S/N 384) and haven't quite figured out what to do. However, Brenspeed got it right right out of the box! kahmann
Doug replied to me immediately and said he didn't know who you were or what the issue was but that he'd get on it right away, whatever that's worth. Good luck. Ken

The guy I spoke to said they were having trouble with the tunes for Shelby GT's and Bullitts. Something about a sticking throttle. He then said he would email me a 91 race tune later that day and told me to let him know how it works. I can't let him know how it works, because I never received the tune. I a patient person, but my patients is wearing thin too.
SWEDEMAN
Bottom line is a lot of specialty automotive companies are going down, they are probably having cash flow and sales issues. If SAI didn't have a lot of money and strong management they'd be toast as well, again. They are bleeding coin right now. They have a huge operation and the payroll has to be $2M per month. So think of how many SR's, SuperSnakes, parts and everything else they have to make a profit on before they are even making payroll! It's a huge nut to crack. oldguyrock
I understand what you are saying SWEDE, but personally thats not my problem. I have a problem with the lack of friggin' customer service. I spent $115.00 on 3 tunes, I don't know how much 06H275 spent. If Bama is truely having problems with the SGT's and Bullitts they should notify the customer that there is going to be a delay in receiving their tunes. I don't believe its my responsibility to keep e-mailing, calling and hounding them about the status of an order I paid for. Ok I vented, I'm over it......... Not really. Mickey d
I agree, I have not done any business with Bama (thinking about a tune). If the industry is going down wouldn't you provide better custermer service to keep the customers you have? Mark

I could have taking that $115.00, spent it on a romantic evening with the wife and maybe, just maybe gotten laid........ That's funny. Then again. $115 is REALLY cheap for 3 tunes. I love how tuners prices are all over the place. Any were from 500 for 1 tune to your $115 for 3. You guys are crazy patient. I'd be calling them every single morning. I once had someone recommend them (Bamachips) for a tune. I'm glad I didn't take his advice. Although my road to a good tune was still long and bumpy. Ended up going with Jon Lund. BamaMatt
However, Brenspeed got it right right out of the box! Brenspeeds tune will be nowhere near what ours is. We wrote the tune for the strategy you provided, we cannot help any other underlying issues. I get over 100 email a day, just me. Its hard to keep up and make everyone happy. RACERX009
I have to say doug and matt have been on the money for me!!! They have wrote 3 tunes for me and 2x's called me to go over the car and the tune. Needless to say they got me on a good day wasn't stoned on pain killers. But for the 3rd one for the hotrod cams, I emailed them the car mods and other info. But, I was on my pain killers and couldn't remember if , I sent the right info so basically drove them crazy. But got the tune the next day and it works like a charm. I apoligized for the mix up and I told them the situation and they were cool. No angry emails back. Frank S
I have two spreadsheets on my GT/CS automatic convertible with "Bullitt" Cooler Air Intake: one pre-Bama, one post. The differences are plainly visible, and conform to the figures I got with the V6 convertible and BamaChips tunes: Torque Tune gives a little higher terminal speed, Performance tune gives slightly better ETs, Race Tune is potent, but harder to control. Car is stock except the Tunes and M-5230-GTA mufflers, is running on on stock BFG tires. All runs were at QualComm Stadium RaceLegal Friday night drags, eighth-mile track. I did all I could to control the circumstances so the only influential variables were With/Without tunes (7-31 vs. 8-07) and between Tunes (8-07): http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3447/380233...9cb0203da_b.jpg 090807 Post-Tunes http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2539/379545...b5efb7448_b.jpg 090731 Pre-Tunes You reckon the differences are worth the money? $409 for the tuner and Tunes. Note: When I red-lighted I logged the difference between perfect (.500) as a positive number in the chart.

When I asked for the 93 Torque tune, Bama asked my to read the strategy using the tuner and the tune still didn't work. If they don't know what to do to fix it then did I sure don't.
