A few 725 SS Questions

Recommended Posts

Why is it only 725hp with the Kenne Bell? I know it is capable of a lot more.

What size pulley is on the Kenne bell?

Is the car not tuned to maximum performance? This looks the same as the 725 package SS except with a different tune and pulley, etc. : http://www.evoperform.com/shop/index.php?m...products_id=657

If the 3rd guestion is correct, can i get at least 1000hp+ at the crank with the tune and a 2.5 pulley?

I am planning to get a 2010 SS but want at least 1000hp for better performance at the drag strip. I know for some 725hp is enough but not for me, I want maximum performance. Thanx in advance

Keep in mind SAI has to put out 50 state leagal cars. There tune is set for 91 octane gas. There is tons more power ready to be tapped in the 725SS. They still have exhaust manifolds! Stock pulley is a 3.25".

I just installed JBA headers, 3" exhaust, 72lb injectors, a comp boosta-pump anlong with a 10% OD crank pulley and a Lund tune and its a new car. I think there was as big of a difference between my stock SS and these mods as there was from my stock GT500 to an SS. I am runnig 19psi now which is about max for 93 octane pump gas. A 2.5 upper pulley will give you about 23 to 25 psi (depending on RPM). You will need to run C16 and colder plugs. Also the stock injectors need to be upgraded and does the boost-a-pump to handle the extra fuel and an HPX or Mafia extender for the air.

With this kind of horsepower you also find yourself using it even more on the open road. Sometimes to a point where one must hide!

Pedal it a little Lee. :hysterical:

I seem to have a hard time doing that! Besides, pedaling is just for 1st and second gear till the tires hook up! Funny thing is this morning there is a bike cop right behind my office shooting radar. I think I am on a "bad boys" list now! Its all Caroll Shelby's fault! Wonder if they will send him the tickets??
