uno
im in need of a new battery. My car has been sitting un driven for 5 months and now my battery will not hold charge. Ive got some refund credit from JEGS and they offer both of these brands. Ive got a 2 farad capacitor helping out the amps but id rather error on the safe side and go with a performance battery. If theres another brand out there, im open for advice/feedback as well.

The 2 farad cap is just a help with the intial load on the battery for a very short time. I know you may not be able to much due to the seasons weather, so a battery tender may help you. Both battery brands are good, but either one will eventually fail if your driving cycle continues without some type of battery maintenance. Not a trickle constant charger but a tender. Similar to what is used on boats for long term battery maintenance. I have race cars and boats that I use battery tenders on. I cannot remember the last time I had a battery issue. I usually dissconnect both leads from the car/boat off of the battery if not used for over a month or so to keep the corrosion down, leaving the battery tender to tend. Just my thoughts and expierience.
kahmann
If I had known about the Braille battery before buying the Optima, I wouldn't have bought the Optima. The Braille is a good choice for weight savings alone, but also because you'll be able to mount it just about anywhere you want. Good luck Ken
