Dig-It
I bought one of Craig's Custom Mustang Brackets when I first picked up the my car from Wayne Morris Ford. However, I've been living in sin running my SGT/SC without a front license plate ever since I received it back from Quantum with their lower grill installed. Today I modified the bracket so that I could mount it underneath the lowest part of the front bumper fascia. It goes on and off in seconds and is pretty sturdy where it sits on the car. This is what I did: 1. Replaced the two plastic fascia fasteners with the hardware from the bracket. 2. Drilled four holes in the compression plate of the bracket, two to rivet the compression plate to the bracket, and two to allow the bracket to be mounted where the fascia fasteners used to be. 3. Riveted the compression plate to the bracket. 4. Fastened the license plate to the bracket. It took a pretty short amount of time to put it all together once I figured out what I wanted to do. I've attached some pics for y'all.

Dig-It
Here's the last two. In the last pic, I'm trying to show that the hardware doesn't stick down too far to be visible when the bracket's removed.

SGT0225
yeah, I know about that discount stuff! I don't have a lower grill, but I did turn around the hardware so the wing nut is hidden above the bumper.
Don JDWHSKY Theall 25695
Like the setup - much better than the double sided tape from Craig's !!!! Question: What size bolts did you use? Thanks .... Don

Don Dig-It used all the included hardware plus 4 rivets. I used all the included hardware minus 2 lock washers. I am thinking about using longer license plate holding bolts so I can buy a fancy frame.
ilmor
Good idea, I'll have to add it to my task list and then a lower grille to my buy list. Thanks!
