ACCLERCR
Hello all! Yesterday I was driving my 2008 GT500, and in 2nd gear (while doing some decent speed, of course) I did not realize that I went into the red zone (6000+ rpm) until I realized that I could not rev or accelerate. In a second, I was then able to shift into 3rd, but wondered about what just occurred. Is there a safety mechanism built in to protect you from blowing the engine? Can anyone shed any light on this? ingram4868
It is set at 6250 RPM. It cuts the fuel injector pulse without harming the engine.
