DC, Delaware, Maryland.... Mid-Atlantic maybe?

Georgia, Florida, SC, NC... Southeast maybe?

This whole regional re-organization is almost as screwed up as our govt right now...

I agree. VA should be Mid-Atlantic too. Was there something wrong with the way things were?

It depends on who you ask. Before Texas and California were both in the West and TS members is both states wanted to be in separate areas.

The Mid Atlantic is sometimes limited it to NY, PA, NJ (the US official definition).

Others include MD, DE, WV, and VA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Atlantic_States

Same thing with the South and southeast. Sometimes it includes LA, MS, AR, TN, AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, WV, MD, DE. Others are more restrictive and limit it to FL, GA, SC, and NC.

So VA, MD, WV, DE could be part of the mid atlantic or the south east depending on your source.

I recommended to teamshelby that use official us regions and they adopted it.

No matter how you slice it, someone is going to be unhappy.

Official US - according to what department? The Census Bureau? Don't they routinely carve up districts and regions based on demographics supposedly to provide for equality in governmental representation?

They only US government department that really matters - the Department of Defense - refers to VA as being in the Mid-Atlantic region.

I hear what you're saying though. I can see how Virginia can be classified as being part of the Southeast since we're located south of the Winn Dixie line.

BTW, are you going to the Mid-Atlantic Mustang Roundup in Hampton, VA this October?

I don't see why I shouldn't be able to make this show in Hampton.

"Mid Atlantic" is just a Navy thing. Never heard of it in the USAF until I got to Norfolk on a Navy base. ;) The rest of DoD doesn't use it.

That was my point. Depending on your source, you will come up with a 1000 different ways to divide up the US.
