65427cobra
Steve, Just got off of the phone with my dealer in Monroeville, Alalbama. I had him call Ford this morning and explain that he had a potential customer that had sold his 2009 GT500 to buy a 2010 and could he get a car ordered for him. There response was...yes that Sales Ford had one remaining 2010 allotment and he could order the car. If you want a 2010 at below MSRP...give Jim Sales at Sales Ford a call.....he is waiting to hear from you. Others...if Steve does not want it, the offer stands for anyone else. I will repeat my comment from yesterday...Ford will make more than 2000 of these cars. According to my dealer they indicated no hold or limits on production of the 2010 GT500. I agree that Ford is building more than 2K units, but the GT500 is ALWAYS on hold and it is limited compared to other Mustangs! We can order as many GT500 as we want, but we only get so many allocations per year! We got FOUR this year which is by far the most we have every had in a year! If he has an allocation left then anyone who doesnt mind waiting until November should jump on it!! Thanks for the info MM

Thank you so very much for doing this for me. I just posted an "open letter" to Ford as my Dealership is still operating under the assumption that they are getting only one car. I was #2 on order and hope they will honor my order. thanks agin very much, lets see if Ford honors my order. Steve
Michael Morris
From what I understand its NOT always the case, but every year since 07 Ford has TOLD us how many GT500s we are allocated. 07 and 08 we ended up getting an extra allocation near the end of the year. I have always believed the dealer shouldnt sell or promise a car that they dont know if they can get or not. I dont think its fair to STOP you from looking because you think they are going to get the car! Ford might still get them an extra allocation, but I dont think I would bet the farm on it! Im not saying this because Im trying to sell you a car. I ge FOUR allocations this year and they are all SOLD! Good luck getting your GT500!! MM Thanks Michael, I spent $105,000 in cash on three vehicles with Ford in the past three years, and much more than that in years past. If Ford does not honor the order I currently have in the system then I will never buy another Ford product as long as I live and I am 60 years old. I have nearly $100,000 in cash set aside right now for my next two toys and if Ford does not want part of it then I am sure some other car maker probably will. I do not intend to place another order as the one I did was done in good faith. I have been a very good and very loyal Ford customer but this screwup is going to cost them a lot of money right now and down the road because I spend a lot of money on cars. The ball is in their court and I will give them a week or so for an answer then I am gone. Thanks Steve
