sportscars
This year is on pace to be the hottest ever recorded for San Antonio. It has been between 98-105 every day, except one, for the past month: http://www.wunderground.com/history/airpor...y.html#calendar. Everything here is dead. Trees are dying faster than people can cut them down. Neighborhoods look like a sea of brown grass. The heat is not expected to let up anytime soon either. Water restrictions are about to go into effect to limit lawn watering to one every 14 days. We actually have "water police" here who will ticket you for watering outside of your scheduled times. All outdoor fountains have been turned off and pools must be 60% covered when not in use. Maybe you can call it "climate change" or "weather cycle" or whatever, but it is hotter than hell down here and no relief in sight. Send cooler temps and rain please. ilmor
CT has also been colder than usual this year. I love the cooler weather but my wife Hates it. Must be because I'm from FL and she is from NJ.
David Hawkins
Some scientists have done a lot of research and found that Climate happens in cycles. The 50 Year Rains, the 100 Year Rains, the 1000 Year Rains, etc..... same goes for Hot Weather and Cold Weather. According to their studdies, what we are going threw now has happened before, several hundred Years ago and several Thousand Years ago.................. I just heard on the news where Obama and the others of the G8 Meeting agreed that Temps are not to go 3.5 Higher.........But Higher then what is what I don't know. I feel your pain here in NE houston BUT it snowed/sleeted/hailed last night in Yonkers NY so much that they had to get the plows out and Prince Edward Island Canada had their first July frost ever. The real studies show that even if they implement all this climate change legislation that in 2050 the average temperatures MIGHT be 1/2 a degree lower than now assuming nothing changes (like the weather). By agreeing to limit temps to 3.5 degrees above what they are now, they guarantee their own success as they know the earth is actually in a cooling period. This is a tax and control scheme and nothing else. They know it is a pretend problem. Notice when Obama gave his G8 speech that he never ever looks straight ahead? He always looks to the left and then to the right and then to the left and then to the right. Same with interviews. He spends a lot of time looking down or away but almost never directly at the person he is speaking to. It's because he is not being truthful in my opinion. DubbsFaris
Obama plans on installing a regional HVAC for the U.S., of course if you can afford your own, you will have to pay for it yourself. Only the lazy and stupid get to be relieved of the burden of lifes hassles. His "biggest stimulus package and road projects package since the 50s" didnt land us a single job in my industry(roads)...not sure where anyone got anything out of that. I started out not caring if he was president...but that lack of hate is fading quick....along with what little leverage our govt funds have left. On top of it all, North Korea will wipe Japan off the face of the map if things dont get addressed there and soon! Agree to a 3.5 degree limit of warming...that is like agreeing to keep the speed of the earth's orbit at no more than 19.01 miles a second...so its reckoned... Its funny to sit in an intro astronomy class on the first test day listening to all the quiet humming of monty python to get their facts for answers. Its how I do it... :happy feet:
