Steeda tubular radiator support

Has anyone here installed one of these? Pics of the install?

If not, what's your opinion on this? It seems like a decent way to cut a little weight up front. Any concerns?

Steeda designed these supports from super-strong and lightweight 4130 chromemoly steel material. This resulted in tubular supports that are half of the weight of the stock steel unit and yet are still strong enough for you to run your front sway bar when not at the drag strip! They are TIG-welded and powdercoated in silver and accept all factory hardware."

i like this...can we use them at hallet?

did that and the BMR K member, no pictures of the install. every pound helps. you should look at this to

I forgot about the battery. That'll be necessary for the IC upgrade anyway. Thanks for the link.

I would have done the BMR K-member already, but I'm saving my nickels for the Griggs SLA, which replaces the K-member anyway. Thanks again!

Does anyone have pics of the battery relocation box installed in the trunk?

Before I order this, I need to see how/where it mounts, because I'm adding the Shelby Kicker sub at some point and will need to put my JL amp somewhere. Thanks for any help.

Be careful with the rubber gaskets in the holes (notice the positive one is not pushed in yet in this photo)

Thanks a lot guys. Those look great. I wonder how much more difficult it might be to mount it on the driver's side.

Since the Shelby Kicker sub is built to fit in the passenger trunk well, I'd need to figure out a way to make this work on the opposite side.

Either way, you guys have given me some things to think about!

with that battery or the optima you dont need topay for a box. I had a billit hold down on my optima and a remote kill switch in the trunk of my 65. and yes the location will interfere with the kicker or shaker1k systems.

 

 

I was thinking since we don't run a spare I'd like to hide mine in the spare tire well and keep the trunk clean.

That's another very good idea. I wonder if my Optima would work? I've got the OEM battery in my garage that I could try to cram in there, just to see if it'll fit I guess.

EDIT: I gave it a shot tonight and the stock battery fits great under there.
