08BlueCoupe
I know there are some mixed reviews on this new package but I love it. My .02 is that us 08-09 drivers had no other package but the really expensive Super Snake. I know once I get the money, I will definitely be purchasing the SE package. chuckstang
Could I ask why? All the packages offer the same stuff just with a different badge, there really is nothing that sets any of them apart. I mean you can get a 40th with all the same performance parts as the SS Only benefit to any of them is that you get a CSM # That is alot to pay for a #
kahmann
He has an 08 so he can't get the 40th package. The SE is a great option for the 08-09 guys IMO. Well done SAI Ken

Red Snake
Am i missing somthing 15k for some stick on parts. I guess to each there own +1 JMO, But SE (Special Edition) sounds like some cheap dealer add on. I've been a Shelby Faithful for 30+ years and this is not up to par. sharabi
if you opt for KB with the SE package in the link posted above nothing mentioned about the hood. Will they lower the engine or SS hood, and if the latter how can you still have the look of SE with stock hood. or you would be SS package with the SE slapped on the side
AFChief
KB doesn't require a new hood, http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/for...elby/Shelby.htm
gt67
What is the SE package? It's the same as the 40th anniversary package except the original stripes stay and different wheels. And they raised the price 35% from the 40th.
DubbsFaris
It was made for the people with the red stripe package...I would have to strip the flat black stripes back off of my car as a super snake and have some red ones made up, or just loose my RS package altogether...this package gives us the SS upgrades while retaining the stripes and original package.... and quit criticizing how this is going to water down the brand...its not...dont likey dont getty...I can ignore stupid political views most have on this site...but when you start criticizing SAI for making money, I take offense...they run a business, not a social club, and unless you wanna start paying 10k a year to keep everyone at SAI employed and keep it just between us few thousand, then accept the fact that there will be more and more things offered, not 2 packages and go out of business...that makes ZERO business sense GENIUS! DubbsFaris
I was told from several sources at SAI that it was thought up with the RS GT500s in mind....but that said, it is open to ALL 2008 and 2009...yes. I think you miss the point of my post...I was defending the SE package merit, not limiting it to RS cars...
sharabi
KB doesn't require a new hood, http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/for...elby/Shelby.htm was it then Whipple that required a new hood i must of mixed them up. then a KB is an attractive power upgrade. Edit: was there some kind of cut out under the hood with KB? i could be wrong though.

jnf
Still not seeing the 14 K value for the SE package. I'd rather personalize it myself with the mods that I prefer. And probably spend half of the 14K. Just my.02 worth.

And probably spend half of the 14K. Just my.02 worth. Yes...and the exact same thing can be said about the Super Snake or 40th package..... BUT, you bought a Shelby correct? Couldn't you have bought a base mustang gt and modded it for as good or equal performance for less than you paid? but you wanted a Shelby, right? I see nothing wrong with doing your own mods...but many dont mind spending extra to A. get really cool upgrades for their Shelby's and B. Keeping SAI in business to continue providing us with better and better products... all this comes to a forward thinking idea and investment of Shelby and future BADASS cars we will get our hands on. For me, my Shelby experience goes much further than just my car...the events and all of the people here I call friends with a shared passion and love. All that goes away without SAI. SAAC goes away too I might add without SAI.
sharabi
I agree with SHELBY coming up with different packages, after all that is a business and they need money so i understand. just i hope for a reasonably priced packages that will have the power to kill the vette without killing my account. His whole shelby line from the sixties was to kill the corvette and now after 40 years with all the technology i cannot see me killing a modded z06 with less than 30k from shelby bin with his blessed sig. can i smoke one of those Z06 with one of his packages for less? I sure can do with evo, lethal, but i want to stay loyal to shelby so why not giving my market sector more power for less money? I like Shelby and Mr Shelby. and i would love for his business to prosper...He said it before and i echo it here, he earned his stripes, but please reconsider the price of the high end power packages, and there will be a room for more Shelby loyals. GO SHELBY.

Deffinitely don't SAI to go out. Thanks for pointing out the other side of this.
