These changes that are being made are drastic and will due harm to our country as we have known it. While those on the mid to lower end of the pay scale "may" benefit for a short time, all of us in the long run are going to suffer...unless you are a government official in high places. They pose no real threat to us. They do pose a serious threat to our allies, however. I think that we need to take a harder line against the north and it's rhetoric for sure. Please accept my apologies for using language appropriate for the guy. Back on track though. The biggest threat from N. Korea is not N. Korea itself, but the products (weaponry and technology) the country produces. We all have seen on the news, heard personally from friends in the military or have heard from a friend of a friend, what the muslim extremists (terrorists) do. Thier culture and beliefs (for many of them) is extremely different from the average westerner's belief system. They have already proven themselves more than willing to die for their belief system....What would happen if N. Korea provided them with nuclear arms or the technology to build them? The technology to fit a small nuclear device into a suitcase sized shell has been around for decades. Could you imagine how many people would perish if instead of two planes hitting the towers, a small nuclear device were exploded? How would we retaliate? Attack the country or countries from which the terrorists came from? We could do that, but it is not our way of thinking. We'd basically do what we do now...take the fight to them. The problem is our government ties our military's hands. Our folks have many restrictions placed on them on how they are to fight this war. Our military is "extremely" powerful, and if let loose could rain death and destruction, but we have to think about the innocents. Too bad we don't play by the same rules the terrorists play by. Also, our beloved, not so extreme, so called friendly Arab countries, who for the most part only deal with us because of monetary reasons (oil sales), wouldn't mind if they had nuclear weapons and a long range delivery system to use them. While I don't believe most of those countries would use them, I believe one or two would not have a problem...mainly Iran. While they might not attack us directly, I don't think they would have any problems lobbing one or two nukes at Israel...then either the Messiah won't meddle, or what we used to say in the military.... the $#!) is on. So don't worry about N. Korea directly, worry about what it produces and who's hands it might get into. While a US Navy destroyer is shadowing a N. Korean ship, but won't board it...you can bet your @$$ if that ship were heading to an Iranian port or some other similar port, it would be stopped and boarded...if John McCain had been elected.
