08SGT1977
I was coming off i270s at exit 15 Germantown and went into the green light taking a left and the car drifted beautifully and completely unplanned to the right and I had to turn into it. I wish I had a video from the other side. I came across sideways/no roll and the car came back elegantly while listening to Judas priest. This car is exhilarating. Omg. Thank you Carroll. Have fun but be safe!

SicShelby
the boneyard gets my adrenaline pumping but I love mellow too. Yikes. I know what you mean, ha-ha. I have gotten loose a couple of times and it just kind of "floated" through. However... it did get away from me in a parking lot one time and I did a lil' 180, screaming like a b!@#$ the whole way I think it was Van Halen There was nothing to hit, so it was fine... Still... respect the gas pedal!

chuckstang
What is the best/safest way to safely get things back together when say like yesterday, I got on it really hard in 2nd gear doing about 35 and the car very very quickly and abruptly tq'd to the left right into oncoming traffic. I could tell that I was just on a ride at that point and felt like there was nothing I could do to controll it, just ride it out and hope it ends up ok Well I ended up just taking my foot off the gas and it worked but I felt like if I had more power, it would have just snapped into head on traffic. This was going in a straight line, wish it could just burn straight but when you stab the throttle and shock the tires, these things just always tq to the left right into on coming traffic. Curious what to do when this happens and if there is anyway to keep it going straight so it doesnt happen in the first place

My rear tires aren't going to make it to the first rotation.... even my brakes are kinda weak at times. edit - deep breaths sorry for posting in the GT500 section - my iPhone screen and shaky fingers failed me earlier

SHELBYBRO
AAAHHHH the sound of a drifting car. I love to drive and rock out to Metallica. There is just something about the Kill'em All album to the And Justice for All album. They really were heavy metal back then. Oh well rock on gents and drive it like you stole it. gth0007
:happy feet: The "unplanned" drift is the one that will get your but puckering. I was following a really nice, heavily modified 2004 Mustang GT and we were sort of playing a little. When there was no traffic in either direction, the GT really punched it, so, you know I had to punch it a little also. Only problem was he punched it AFTER the curve, I let it rip IN the curve. Even with the Traction Control on, my SGT decided to imitate that Mustang Drifter guy in all of the ads. The car corrected very quickly but I wasn't so sure my" tighty whities" were in good order. Maybe if my car was one of those SLOWER 5 speed SGTs this wouldn't have happened. My car you see is a rip roaring White Automatic, which we all know is the fastest and rarest of all SGTs. Right !! (DISCLAIMER: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME, THE DRIFT DISCUSSED HERE WAS STUPID, DONE ON A PUBLIC ROAD, BY AN OLD FART WHO HAS NO BUSINESS "PLAYING" WITH MUSTANG GTs, ANY DUPLICATION OF THIS DRIFT COULD RESULT IN SOILED UNDERWEAR, WRECKED CAR, AND FORCED CONTRIBUTIONS TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT.)
