StrayShadow
When I purchased my SGT, the letters were already coming off the CSM tag. Now after I washed it yesterday, this happened. All I did was wipe the water off the tag ... and now look at it! Has this happened to anyone else? Kevin 07SGT2591
AKSHELBY
I have never seen or heard of that before.. My guess is the dealer used a Hi Pressure washer or some kind of chemical during the detail procedure. May be i should go look at mine now..... 2007_Shelby_GT
Important number still remains as I believe it's stamped. Wish they would have stamped the whole thing! Don't know how it can be corrected, unless dealer can remove and reinstall a new one direct from SAI - I'm sure there would be major procedures to follow! Contact Bud or someone from SAI for the lowdown. Sam AKA:

StrayShadow
Just got an email back from Bud. Hi Kevin, It may still be under warranty. You would have to set it up with the dealer and they would need to call 1-800-367-3788 to set up the claim. The warranty center will order a new plate to be made. Thank you, Bud Bud Mahoney Mod Shop Coordinator/Sales Supervisor Shelby Automobiles, Inc. 702-942-7325 ext. 140 702-683-7096 cell number Fax 702-952-1021 Budm@shelbyautos.com I am setting this up as I type. Orion
looks like someone thought they could polish up that badge! I wonder if anyone tried the same with their signed airbag plate!

StrayShadow
Update: Service manager sent an email saying the new csm tag is on back order, and it should be shipped soon. Good news ... patience is a virtue! I looked at the warranty info and the csm tag under the hood is on the list. I will update as soon as part comes in! SHELBYBRO
I thought that I had heard something like this happening to some of the 07's. Oh well at least it will be fixed.

Doug_GT350
I am impressed that this will be taken care of under warranty. Let us know with an updated pic! Yeah but what happens if it's out of warranty, can you still get a new one or are ya dupped?
NordicShelby
If its out of warrranty I am sure its only $30 to get a new one. As long as they are in business and they get the old one back I am sure we will be able to get them replaced if this happens to anyone else and the warranty is expired.
