s code mach
I ordered a new set of CS 69 wheels for my GT500, I just got to thinking what about the pressure senders? can they be swapped to my new wheels ? if so is that a major project or does the tire shop do that when they swap the tires over? I don't know what they look like or how they attach to the wheel.
ingram4868
You can reuse the transmitter but you will need new bands.
MiniMe
You need 2 sets of these... http://www.americanmuscle.com/universal-tpms-bands.html .
s code mach
Man isn't that going to take a pound of lead to balance out? what happens if you leave the sensors out? is there a way to get the light to go off?
ingram4868
I just put new rims, sensors and tires on the back of my car and they needed less than 1 ounce of weights on them. That is good by any standard
s code mach
Did you need the brackets or just the bands? I found bands local but no brackets. wouldn't be a big deal but I want them on like now. I may have to order some if I need the brackets.
SGT4265
If youre real careful, you can remove the brackets from the old wheels, add some new double sided tape & re-install on the new wheels. A new band will hold them in place securely.
