What is this ? Does anyone know ?

I'm pretty sure the little "horn" in the trunk is tied to the security system. If you ever disconnect the battery and reconnect it you will hear the "horn" in the trunk go off for about 1 second.

There is also a harness in the same area (not sure if that is the one you are talking about) that is used to connect the Sirius radio receiver.

Yup, that's what it is. It's called an Anti-theft Horn.

Ha Ha....I thought it looked like a small motorcycle horn but I never would've guessed since it's in the TRUNK !

Thanks all !!

I'm guessing that because if someone breaks into your car, they wouldn't be able to disable the horn quickly if it is in another locked compartment.

Just sayin'.....

Learned something new today. Now the question is why does the trunk need a separate horn?

Seems to me the first guy that makes a "Trunk Monkey" replacement plug for the 12V. outlet plug on a Mustang dash will sell a million of them.

:hysterical2:

I had the damnest time trying to get my cover out from between the seat and center console !

It's the cover inside the console that DOES NOT need the strap; the one on the dash NEEDS one !!

's truth.

I always slip the dash plug into one of the coin slots in the console box. Sometimes it stays in the slot; it always at least stays in the box.

Speaking of....
