CudaFly
I'm pretty sure the little "horn" in the trunk is tied to the security system. If you ever disconnect the battery and reconnect it you will hear the "horn" in the trunk go off for about 1 second. There is also a harness in the same area (not sure if that is the one you are talking about) that is used to connect the Sirius radio receiver. MarkGT08
I'm guessing that because if someone breaks into your car, they wouldn't be able to disable the horn quickly if it is in another locked compartment. Just sayin'..... Learned something new today. Now the question is why does the trunk need a separate horn? Steve

I had the damnest time trying to get my cover out from between the seat and center console ! It's the cover inside the console that DOES NOT need the strap; the one on the dash NEEDS one !! Frank S
's truth. I always slip the dash plug into one of the coin slots in the console box. Sometimes it stays in the slot; it always at least stays in the box.

07-2937
the horn is there because your other horn is EASY to disconnect so that one is there to annoy whoever is inside your car doing bad things why the alarm goes off.
