Craigo
I want to put on some hood struts. Anyone have a favorite kit? Or ran into one they didn't like? Thanks, Craig
Fontech
I have the CDC Hood Struts on my stang. MRT brand is from CDC, so compare the prices. I went one step farther and had them color keyed to make my color. Tom

Thanks, Craig I have read that SS hood will warp with these kits. You might wanna check with SAI about this.
07SS697
This thread was helpful for me as I dropped mine off yesterday for SS package. One thing to add: if you have removed the prop rod and installed hood struts like I had (STEEDA).... these cannot be used on the supersnake hood (apparently warps the hood)..... so if you are taking in for SS be sure to put the prop rod back on the car. Ron here is the thread I found it in. hope it helps
clark17357
Go to this thread. This is the best kit out there. I have it on my car and at Streets of Willow two weeks ago, the wind was blowing hard out there (like it always does) and my hood stayed up without a problem. http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php...dline&st=40 Jim

Craigo
Thanks guys. I'll check it out, and I'll double check on the SS hood. Don't want warpage!

James Hill
Anyone using these? I am thinking about installing these. I have heard about some struts failing. http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1090

vipereatr
I bought some Steeda struts and I am nor too happy because you have to leave off the existing painted washer on one of the hood slot locations, the hood brace does not conform to the SS hood real well, and the lower bracket appears to be too short leading to possible rotation of the bracket and scratching of the fender. There are probably work arounds but I'm still pondering.
